The Baltit Fort in Hunza is one of the 18 sites in the tentative list of UNESCO World Heritage Sites in Pakistan. It is an estimated 700 years old. The fort, once used to be the home to the Mirs of Hunza, was converted to a museum by Aga Khan Cultural Services, Pakistan in 1996. The fort is managed and maintained by Baltit Heritage Trust.
