Aahil Khuwaja, 9 year old from Chicago, Illinois created this Art work using Legos for the Jubilee Arts festival that took place recently. Following is Aahil’s message about his Art work and his inspiration behind it. He would like to wish his mom and all the wonderful mothers in the world “Happy Mother’s day!”
Aahil Khuwaja: My Passion, my love for creating objects using Legos led me to create this Art work called Muhinji Amar (Shindhi word) for My Mom. Having inspired by a poem written in Sindhi language about Mom, I created this Art work using over 2500+ Lego pieces. I have grown up listening to my grandparents who are originally from Sindh, Pakistan recite this poem to me since the early age. Being born in a culturally diverse country such as USA, I am proud to be an American born belonging to Sindhi family from Sindh, Pakistan.
